Bear Coast is a top favorite of ours for coffee.  One day Maddi and some friends stumbled upon this small, new pop-up coffee shop on Del Mar Street in San Clemente while in Portuguese service and it quickly became a new favorite spot of ours. A favorite drink of mine at the moment is his lavender caramel latte.  I love that it's not too sweet, but you can still taste the subtle flavors without it overpowering the delicious coffee.

Let me tell you a thing. Bear Coast is the best dang coffee in South Orange County. Seriously though, I involuntarily compare any other coffee spot I may enter to this place and not just because of the Ritual, Parallel, and Heart coffee deliciousness that they serve up perfectly..but because of the delightful people that pour your espresso with a smile on their faces. Sometimes they're singing Aretha Franklin, sometimes they just ask you how your day is going. Whatever the case, you can always count on any of the baristas to put you in a good mood before you've even had caffeine! (Crazy, right?!)

Honestly, there's just so much to say about this place. When it comes down to it, though, it's just the greatest. Jeff (the owner) is the friendliest, most hard-working guy that will engage in conversations about nerdy TV shows whilst making your perfect cappuccino. No pretentious or intimidating vibes here, just new friends who happen to make a wicked cup of joe. What's not to like about that?

Also, shout out to Sarah Armstrong who designed everything Bear Coast related from the logo, to the menu, and those super awesome wooden tokens. Nice one, Sarah!
