Next stop is Bath and Devon. Every stop we made on this trip we fell completely in love with, Bath especially being one of them. This had to have been one of the most unique cities I've been to so far. The Gothic architecture is so beautiful to look at and there's many talented buskers you'll come across. From opera singers to trumpet and pan flute playing, theres a lot to see. Maddi and I thought the pan flute player was pretty great. He was well determined with his flute playing.
We didn't make any of the Jane Austen stops while visiting, but I know I definitely want to make it back here another time to see the Jane Austen House and scenes where Pride and Prejudice was filmed. It was still amazing to think that Jane Austen had walked the grounds of Bath and spent some of her time writing here. A historic stop we did make was the Roman Baths. The baths were beautiful to see and the History behind it was amazing.
As for coffee.... Or in this case, hot chocolate. Something that was on our list was to make a stop at was Society Cafe. Absolutely loved it there. Of course everyone there was very polite and delightful.... because England. The manager was very nice as well and let me take many photos and video of their cafe. (Video of the trip coming soonish…)
There were also quite a few cute little shops in the area that were nice for gift giving and trinkets to bring back home. The shop pictured is called Found.
And now we move on to Devon... Devon was so beautiful, but so was everywhere we went on this trip. Each place we went to, even different parts of the country had their own charm. In Devon we stayed at a bed and breakfast that we booked through Airbnb. This was an amazing bed and breakfast, I always wish I could go back and stay there. Or just live at Patrick's house. Patrick was our host and lives in this quaint farm house that our part was attached to. On his farmland he had chickens, sheep, and bees which we were able to look at the next day. Except for the bees because it was raining. It was definitely an amazing experience that we always talk about. I can't say how often our family says "let's go back to Patrick's house" because we just loved it so much.
The night we got there we went to get dinner at a random pub Patrick had recommended in a town called Sheep Wash. Yup, it was called Sheep Wash. When we got there it was definitely only filled with locals which was a coll but also funny experience. When Maddi went up to order her beer many heads were turned towards her because we obviously were not anywhere from there. The morning after we got there, Patrick had served us some homemade bread made my himself, fresh poached farm eggs, sausage, and honey from his bee farm. I'm crying just thinking about it. I'm ready to go back.
