Hey, remember when we mentioned that place called Sidecar in our Heritage Mercantile post?  Well, today we are going to be talking about delicious donuts.  Sound good?


















We discovered this place about a year ago (thank you Pinterest!).  Unfortunately I did not have any of my many donut pictures on hand to use for this post, but you will most likely be hearing about Sidecar a lot on the blog. Mine and Maddi's favorite would have to be the huckleberry donut which is an Oregon huckleberry cake donut with a huckleberry glaze.  It's amazing.  They also get new monthly seasonal flavors that are pretty amazing.  Whenever we visit Sidecar we like to get our huckleberry donut and coffee and take a walk over to Heritage Mercantile to see what's new in the shop.  Sidecar carries the delicious Stumptown coffee and they also have it in cold brew.  I love to drink the cold brew black sometimes.  My family thinks I'm crazy.


















We love finding new unique food places to add to our list and this is definitely one we visit often!

Hello everyone!  Maddi and I have some big news to share with you!  We are happy to say that we will now be Design Sellout's partner in crime.  Design Sellout is run by Rae Hamilton who is a good friend of ours.  Rae has so many inspiring ideas in the graphic design field.  She also helps out with those who may be new at working with Photoshop or need a freelance designer.  She is definitely good at what she does and has been getting amazing opportunities to interview some great people.  We're so happy to be contributing to her business and blog.   Her blog is amazing, go check it out!

How will Maddi and I be contributing to Design Sellout?  Well, we are no professional photographers, but are still learning.  We will be contributing some of the photographs we take to Design Sellout for other graphic designers to use as inspiration and to use for their designs.  The photo above is an example of what DesignSellout will have in their DS photo library.  Here are a couple more we wanted to share.....

Hello, everyone! Again, it's been awhile... Apparently I can't make any promises about writing new blog posts. Keeping up a blog can be hard having busy lives, but when we have the time we enjoy writing about the awesome coffee shop we went to the other day or what new and exciting things we bought at Oh, Hello Friend.  And today we have another awesome place to tell you about!  There is another adorable shop we love to visit called Heritage Mercantile Co.  This shop is filled with leather goods, beautifully made handmade jewelry, items for the home and many other things you'll spend hours looking at in the shop.

Well, this is a little awkward seeing as whenever I meet somebody and they ask me to tell them about myself I’m just like “Umm.. I have opinions and I get obsessed with stuff.” Very appealing, I know. I guess I’ll start by saying that I’m twenty-one and I try to embrace every moment of my life. I’m not the most optimistic person so I’ve made it a goal to notice the little things in life and let them make me happy. I feel like it’s working so far. I have a wonderful family, I live in beautiful Southern California, and have been able to travel to many places. I’m an esthetician and full-time Bible teacher. I do get obsessed with things, as I am a very passionate person. My current obsession is with the band Bastille (as Makenzie mentioned earlier, there will be a post on our concerts from last week). I have an ongoing love affair with traveling, and I look forward to going to Greece, England, and France just 60 days from today!!  Makenzie and I share a love for cities, coffee, nature, food, and most things European. We’re excited to share these things with you, and hopefully you like them too.. ’cause why else would you be reading this, right? I look forward to reading your comments!

 This shop is filled with items such as tote bags with inspiring words and quotes on them, jewelry, greeting cards, art prints, stationary, and more!   The picture above is a little behind the scenes of Maddi setting up our Oh, Hello Friend finds.  Also, everything at this shop is very reasonably priced (which is always good, right?).  I call this shop my affordable Anthropologie.  I was so happy when this shop opened.  I have been following Danni's blog for about 3 years after I discovered her at a Shop Ruche yard sale that was held in Fullerton area.  I was so excited looking at all the adorable creative things she had at her booth, so I immediately started following her blog after and fell in love with it.  Check out her blog here!
We found these items at her shop this past weekend when she and her husband Nick held a big studio sale.  Danni and Nick are one of the most adorable and sweet couples I know! (I fangirl over them a little bit.. Is that weird?)  Anyways, Oh, Hello Friend is getting ready to branch out more and open a second shop in Tustin at the new Union Market being built and opening in the summer!  You can also take a look at information on the Union Market here.  I'm so excited for Danni to have the chance to open a second shop.  She has worked so hard to have her own shop and sell the things she loves.  I hope whoever reads this enjoys this first post!  Our next post will be more of an official introduction of us introducing ourselves.
